Positive: Most amazing location. Lovely corner room, spacious. Had everything we needed. 15 min walk to the Shedd Aquarium. Homewood Suites will be our go to Chicago Hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was nice, and there is also a fantastic (expensive) diner across the street. Hotel Asian restaurant was also great.
Negative: The air conditioning unit in the room was as loud as the train going by. It literally roared. The first room we were put in, the entire panel of the air conditioner was off. (They immediately changed our room). But, if you are sound sensitive, this might not be the place for you. Perhaps it was because we had a corner room. We slept right thru it, but needs to be mentioned.
Summary: Homewood Suites was the cherry on top of a wonderful two days in Chicago.

Positive: We were there for the Chicago Taste Festival. This was the first time and will not be the last. The breakfast was good, nice variety. Loved the pool, hot tub, exercise room, meeting common area, and the patio. The security system that's in place is awesome. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I recommend this hotel.
Negative: The restaurant inside the hotel was extremely pricey. The food was good but overpriced. This is the only negative thing I have to say about it.

Positive: My recent stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton in the South Loop area of Chicago was very enjoyable. The hotel has a great location — close to downtown, the park, and the lakefront, where you can walk and enjoy views of the city. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. I got a room on the 17th floor with a beautiful city view, and in the morning I could see the sunrise over Lake Michigan — truly memorable! The staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the young woman who checked me in late on August 18 — she was very kind, cheerful, and welcoming. The pool is small, but warm and perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Negative: The breakfast was very basic, just the minimum and not very healthy! Personally, it was enough for a quick snack, but it felt more like a 2-star hotel breakfast in Europe, not what I’d expect from Hilton. There were no vegetables at all, and the only fruits available were apples and sometimes bananas. The most disappointing part was the use of plastic plates and cutlery. While other countries are fighting plastic waste and have already banned plastic straws, here, during one breakfast, the staff took out several bags of plastic tableware! It was such a terrible sight! Additionally, I was charged a $525 deposit (for 7 nights), even though Booking.com listed it as €75 for the entire stay. However, the money was returned to my card quickly. The mattress was full of lumps. There was no proper blanket, just a few thin sheets. The air conditioner was very noisy and hard to figure out how it works. When I turned it off, it would turn back on by itself. These were just some of my observations, but overall, the room was good. I had a pleasant stay.
